Born and raised on the island of Guam, I came to NYC to study at NYU and have been practicing yoga since. After graduating with a BFA, I completed my first training and have continued studies with Nevine Michaan and Abbie Galvin at Katonah Yoga, and Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman Yee at Yoga Shanti. I'm lucky enough to have led many 200hr trainings and post-training mentorships to students in NYC. I just opened and am co-director of SKY TING YOGA in Chinatown, NY. Beyond group classes at SKY TING, I teach private yoga across NYC.
My teachings derive from several traditions of yoga and an expanded study of physicality in general. I've been acting and dancing since I can remember, my background in performing arts both informs and energizes my method and material. My classes are typically defined by an emphasis on structural integrity, smart sequencing, a connection to music and a unifying spiritual thread. I aim to help students better connect with themselves and with the world-wide-web of life. All in all, my primary goal with my practice and what I teach is to figure out how yoga can be a tool to make your life better. Whether its expanding your vision, helping anchor you down, making you more radiant, or sparking joy... this practice is magic if you understand how to use it.
